Topaz freshened with an nearly perfect udder, and I am now so glad I did not sell her. Our 2011 appraiser was very excited about Topaz and took some photos to use in talks to iilustrate a nearly ideal loin. Before he could give her a final score he asked how many freshenings, and when I said that she was a first freshener, he said that he was going to cry (!). As a first freshener she can receive a maximum score of 89, so that's what she got. Hopefully she will get another chance next year.
